Rob's
Biography
When Rob Cork was in the
third grade a NASA spokesperson visited his school. In that
brief gymnasium talk, the speaker conveyed to Rob an excitement
and enthusiasm for the space program — and public speaking —
that has been with him ever since. Today Rob shares that
enthusiasm with his audiences in a personal, dynamic style,
whether his topic is the history of the U.S. space program or other
historical subjects.
Rob has a diverse
background in public speaking, writing, educational program
development, corporate communications and theatre. He has spoken in museums, science
centers, schools, bookstores, churches, and libraries and for
parent-teacher organizations, the Cub Scouts, the Jaycees and corporate
training audiences. Rob earned a Bachelor's degree in
corporate communications from Southern Connecticut State
University with a minor in theatre and course work in
journalism. He currently works in the nonprofit
field in the Washington, D.C. area and is also the artistic
director of Kaleidoscope Theatre Company,
which brings the magic of live theatre to children and their
families. He is a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association
(EAA) and its Speakers Bureau. |
